Marsden Point Oil Refinery ~ 60th Anniversary Celebration

Join Us on May 30th for a Milestone Event!

Come together on May 30th to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the original opening of Marsden Point Oil Refinery and reflect on the two years since the refinery's operational staff left the site. Join us at Marsden Marina Cafe (1/30 Rauiri Drive, Marsden Cove, Northland) at 10:00 a.m. for a day of festivities, concluding with an official ceremony and cake-cutting at 1:00 p.m. This is an opportunity to unite previous and current shareholders, employees, and the general public in support of New Zealand’s sole oil refinery.

Celebrating Marsden Point's legacy and advocating for its reinstatement. Let’s band together for New Zealand’s energy security, freedom, and economic future.

If you can join us on May 30th, please register here: https://zfrmz.com.au/Ld0Jby4aD5EAt2HGkMSt

We have some exciting news! Thanks to the generosity of Vanessa & Stephan Schlogl and the team at Victory Church in Lower Hutt, we have secured their Youth Centre as our venue in Wellington for the 60th Anniversary Celebration of the Marsden Point Oil Refinery. This event is free, and we're incredibly grateful for their support.

On May 30th, we celebrate not just a milestone anniversary but also continue our advocacy for the reinstatement of Marsden Point Oil Refinery. The day will be marked with discussions, plans for the future, and of course, cake! The Mayor of Whangarei will join us at the main event in Marsden Point, and we will be live streaming to Auckland and other locations. P.S: a big shout out to Mo Mcleary & his Granddaughter for sorting a celebration cake for the Auckland venue! You are both amazing!

We encourage local crews to come together in their own areas as well. You can tune into the main event with just a TV and Chromecast. If you have a larger group, consider hiring a hall with a projector. Whether organising a gathering at home or publicly, we can assist with the arrangements. It's a great opportunity for a potluck, picnic, or simple get-together—the choice is yours! We'll also have pamphlets ready to print for the day and/or beforehand.
How to Get Involved:
Your continued support is vital. We encourage you to keep encouraging others to become shareholders in Channel Infrastructure NZ LTD. We’re also printing pamphlets for distribution and looking to get a cake for the event in Wellington so if you're willing to contribute to costs, please use our Overall Initiatives Contribution Form here: https://zfrmz.com.au/iBGuq6UygW6sf46zMe9v or manually deposit to the following account:
